Challenge Failure 5K Race – Sacramento, CA

Our San Francisco team sponsored and participated in the Challenge Failure Race to raise awareness for Heart Failure
5.7 million adults in the U.S. are affected by heart failure, and the chronic condition contributes to 1 out of every 9 deaths in America.
On Saturday, September 8th, 2018, Capital Pacific’s San Francisco team sponsored and participated in the Challenge Failure 5K Race. Challenge Failure, founded in 2010, is a non-profit organization promoting the prevention of Heart Failure by raising funds for research, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and increasing awareness through education and support for those diagnosed with Heart Failure and their families. Heart failure is a chronic, progressive condition where the heart is unable to pump sufficient blood to meet the body’s need. According to the American Heart Association 1 in 5 Americans will develop heart failure in their lifetime. The founders of Challenge Failure, the Boriak family, are working diligently to try to eradicate this disease.

“The Challenge Failure race was a phenomenal success for the great cause of ending heart failure. It was an honor for Capital Pacific to be a sponsor and participate in such an important cause. Everybody is affected in some way by heart failure. During the event, we heard stories of heart failure and overcoming the condition from some inspiring and courageous individuals. Special thanks to the Boriak family for their support and dedication, continually motivating all of us to increase awareness and join in the fight against heart failure.” – Dave Lucas
