I’ve been involved with commercial real estate, construction and development for over 20 years. As my photo represents, I’ve been on both sides of the table.
As VP of Real Estate for a publicly traded retailer, I completed over 150 transactions, managed all development projects and executed a multi-state expansion program including site selection, leasing and acquisitions. From there I moved on to form a company specializing in the development of shopping centers in Northern California.
It’s my belief that to be successful in any of these fields including brokerage you have to love the business, and have the enthusiasm, energy and desire to win.
As an avid tennis player, I’m always looking for ways to improve my game. I know the satisfaction of making a winning shot, like closing a deal and knowing the client is pleased with the results. And as a doubles player, I know the value of collaboration and the need for constantly adapting my strategy to fit the situation, staying sharp and remaining a winner. It’s the same in the brokerage world and what I strive for as an agent. These qualities have been crucial to Capital Pacific’s success as well, whether it’s sourcing property for a client or marketing property for a seller.
Using my experience as a retail tenant and as a buyer and seller of shopping centers, I’m able to provide advice to clients on both the buy side and sale side of the transaction. Plus, I know what a good retail lease looks like, critical to the value of the assets we’re selling.
I moved to California from Texas several years ago looking for adventure, something new and exciting. I love to travel and explore new places and different cultures. There is nothing more exciting than seeing something for the first time, something different. It’s the same with every real estate transaction; there’s always something new and different with every deal… that’s what keeps it interesting.
