How I Embody CP[x]

What makes Capital Pacific different from other brokerages, is our team approach.  Working together and Sharing Insight is not just something we talk about on our website – we work at it every day – and it’s my job to make sure that the collaboration actually happens.  I’m the king of setting up meetings, organizing phone calls, sparking an impromptu conversation around the office, and using our open floor plan to encourage collaboration and communication.

On paper, I seem like a numbers guy. In the real world, I like to think I’m a little more dynamic: competitive, social, charismatic and tenacious. Commercial real estate speaks to me precisely because it’s also dynamic. The market is always moving, constantly changing, often surprising and rarely boring. Sitting in the center of our open trading floor, surrounded by a team of talented brokers and support staff, the energy each person contributes motivates me and keeps me intimately connected to the nuances of the market, the details of each deal and the temperature of our clients and staff. 

My job is twofold. First I must support, coordinate and manage each company function to ensure smooth operations and effective systems. Simultaneously, I need to understand capital markets, manage company finances/accounting and plan for our financial future.  To do my job well, I must create valuable opportunities for our staff to share insight, keep my eye on the ever-changing marketplace, and seek out ways to improve our internal processes and systems. When we work together seamlessly and cohesively, which is my favorite way to work, we achieve superior service for our clients and an optimal efficiency within our team.
